Scott
Alpine Meadows

About this zone
Scott is a steep, compact zone that suits strong, confident skiers. With a west-facing tilt and a no-nonsense feel, it’s the kind of terrain you duck into when you want a short dose of pitch and consequence rather than a long cruise.
Best When
This zone is best with fresh snow, or when the surface has just started to soften and you’re looking for something steeper without needing a big commitment. Being west-facing, it tends to stay colder and slower to loosen up, so it often skis better later in the day than first thing.
Watch Out For
Scott can ski hard when it hasn’t seen new snow, and the pitch makes that feel immediate. Expect exposed rocks and cliffy bits in places and pick your line with intent, especially in thin coverage or flat light where hazards are harder to read.
