Wolverine Bowl
Alpine Meadows

About this zone
Wolverine Bowl is a broad, open, east-facing alpine bowl that drops off skier’s left along the ridge from the Summit area. It’s straightforward, high-speed terrain with a big-mountain feel and plenty of room to pick your own line.
Best When
Best on powder days if you can get here early, before it’s tracked and pushed around. Idiot’s Delight and Dogleg tend to hold quality a bit longer than the main bowl and are often worth the short traverse when you’re looking for softer snow after the obvious lines get skied out.
Watch Out For
The drop-ins along the top can be steep, and the openness can make firm snow feel serious fast. When it’s hard or wind-affected, edges matter and a mistake can turn into a long slide, so pick your entry carefully and dial it back if you’re not getting consistent purchase.
