Galaxy
Heavenly

About this zone
Galaxy is a mostly intermediate, NE-facing pocket on the Nevada side with a mellow, rolling feel. You’ll find a mix of longer groomers and intermittent glades, and the shaded exposure helps snow stick around when other zones start to fade. With access off a slow fixed-grip triple and a committed layout, it skis quieter and more remote than the main flow of the mountain.
Best When
Head here during colder storms or in the days after when you want sheltered, tree-adjacent skiing and dependable snow preservation. It’s a good zone for stacking low-stress laps on consistent groomers when the rest of the resort feels busy, or for cruising in and out of glades without hunting for steep terrain.
Watch Out For
The lift is slow and the access is effectively single-egress, so plan your timing and keep an eye on the clock. Make sure you’re moving out well before the 3PM closing, since getting stuck on the wrong side late is an easy mistake to make.
