It’s where you’ll find forgiving pitches for dialing in basics, straightforward routes for moving around the mountain, and easy access to the Groove terrain park. Even strong skiers end up here between laps, whether they’re regrouping, cruising, or using it as a simple way to connect to bigger terrain.

This zone is a good call anytime you want something low-commitment and predictable. It tends to stay groomed and approachable, which makes it useful for warm-up laps, teaching moments, or a quick park session before heading back out. If you’re chasing comfort and consistency more than challenge, it does the job.
Watch Out For
Because it’s a common thoroughfare, expect traffic and mixed ability levels, especially near park entrances and run intersections. If you’re trying to get back toward California Lodge, pay attention to where you’re headed; if you’re not comfortable with advanced terrain, plan to take Patsy’s up and then download on Gunbarrel rather than dropping into something above your pay grade.
