Reuter Bowl
Kirkwood

About this zone
Reuter Bowl is the far edge of Kirkwood’s frontside, tucked out past Sentinel and Palisades Bowls near the Highway 89 boundary. It’s a quiet, tree-heavy zone that feels removed from the rest of the resort, with a mix of gladed lines and a few clearer corridors like Jeff’s Line. The terrain sits mostly east-facing under Martin Point and skis more like exploratory sidecountry than a lap-friendly bowl.
Best When
This zone is worth the effort when the obvious frontside lines are tracked out and you’re willing to trade convenience for lower-traffic snow. With its mostly east-facing terrain, it can hold onto colder, sheltered snow in the trees after storms, and it tends to ski best once the light comes up mid-morning. It’s also a good choice when you’re in an exploring mood and not trying to rack up quick vertical, since getting in and out is part of the day.
Watch Out For
Access is involved: Chair 6, a long traverse, and hiking, with limited bailout options once you commit. Navigation matters, as skiing too far out can funnel you toward roads and development near the boundary; staying skier’s right helps guide you back toward Timber Creek and the Bunny area. Expect tight trees, variable snow, and fewer visual cues in flat light. This is not the place to wander without a plan.
