About this zone

Village is mostly a way to get back to the base, with low-angle, straightforward trails that also work for early-stage learning. It’s not the most interesting skiing on the hill, but it’s a useful connector zone, and the gentle pitch means you’ll want to carry a little speed to keep things flowing without turning it into a drag back to the lodge.

Best When

This zone is at its best when you want mellow, roomy terrain to dial in basics or regroup, or when you’re prioritizing an easy run back to the base. If you’re heading down late in the day, it’s also the simple, low-stress option when you’re done hunting for steeper snow.

Watch Out For

Low-angle runs tend to get scraped and patchy, and they can turn slushy or show bare spots when coverage is thin. Expect high traffic with beginners and mixed speeds on the main groomed track, so keep your head up and manage speed. The tighter tree lines can feel quick because the pitch is gentle but the spacing is not, so don’t dive in unless you have room and visibility.
