Broken Arrow
Palisades Tahoe

About this zone
Broken Arrow sits right under the Funitel and Aerial Tram, staring you in the face from the base and skiing every bit as serious as it looks. This is expert terrain built around steep, technical lines through rugged features, with a raw, High Sierra feel that rewards strong route-finding and commitment.
Best When
Right after a storm, the tighter terrain and features tend to keep soft snow in pockets longer than the more open runs. Come spring, the east and southeast exposure sets up well for corn if you time it for the right window and want steep, direct laps close to the base.
Watch Out For
Expect real consequences here: cliffs, chutes, and plenty of rock, with lines that don’t leave much room to improvise. Sun can work this slope hard, and crusts or other tricky surfaces are common, so it’s worth checking how the snow is cycling before you drop in and staying heads-up for thin coverage around exposed features.
