Exhibition
Palisades Tahoe

About this zone
Exhibition is a quick-hit intermediate zone on the lower mountain, best known as a venue for ski races. It’s generally groomed with a consistent, predictable pitch, so it skis clean and fast and works well for intermediates who want to dial in turns without a lot of route-finding.
Best When
This zone is money when you want reliable grooming and straightforward laps. After a storm, the north-facing snow holds soft turns for a bit, but because it’s so easy to reach it gets tracked out quickly, so earlier is usually better.
Watch Out For
The same steady pitch that makes it fun can bite when it’s firm; a fall can turn into a long slide. In prolonged high-pressure periods, hard moguls tend to set up skier’s left and can be more technical than they look, especially once they glaze over.
